Well the end of summer has arrived I think, first frosts seen on the ground.
Clinton has had a few setback in the start of his year with Champion Systems, but things are falling into place now. He has finally got on a SRM so Im seeing daily training now and watching daily improvements as he comes back from a bit of sickness.
Olly has had Xterra NZ, he was disappointing to finish 10th overall, but still won his age class and Qualified for Worlds at Maui. Given that Olly had also picked up a bug and was down a little in form, I think this is still a great result.
Logan has his new team in Texas going well and is now leading and managing that team, Its anon profit charity called Bone shaker, its to promote young kids getting out and active, "Shaking their bones"
The CRI Junior tour also just finished with great weather, great racing and a great team of organisers that prior to this were talking about giving it away. I guess we will all be back next year. Plus it has to keep going for at least 15 more years so that Kiara can have a race.
Amber Johnston won the NZ National Series and the Oceania MTB junior womens XCO race and gained selection for the worlds but will do the world cups in North America this year to gain experience that will lead to a great result at next years worlds.
Raewyn Morrison won the Oceania Super D and has developed a real passion for this event. And backed it up with another medal in the Oceania eliminator race.
Great start to the year guys, but more to come.

whats happening
well the boys are back from Europe, Clinton with a pro contract and Wade with a solid year of more learning. Clinton has signed for the Pro Conti Champion Systems cycle team. This will see him back in Belgium again but doing pro races and some Asian tour races. Just waiting to get the team plan for Clinton and we will put his training year together.
Olly is about to race his key event at XTERRA in Maui, hoping he calls me tomorrow to tell me he is the third world champ I have coached.
The MTB riders are now hitting it in training to be ready for the national series in starting in January.
A new bike has arrived through Logan and his San Jose Hotels team, loving it.

2011
I guess its been a long time coming, so a historical update. Well the year start well with Clinton having a stagier with Radio shack and signing a contract with Pegasus. Unfortunately that turned to be a vapour team. So back to the amateurs for another Belgium season. He has had a couple of good wins in some big races, in between having appendix out and rebuilding again.
Wade has been progressing well with his team and has had a couple of very good races and podiums. Logan has been ripping up Texas, winning most of the races he is entering.
Olly is building up his Xterra Training and should be a good bet for a world Title come October in Maui. Scott and Monique are battling crazy problems but hopefully getting through that. Ash and Raewyn have been racing well through the winter and picked up a couple of wins on the MTB.
Almost for got the biggest start to the year was backing up with a tour win at the NZ Tour of Wellington. Was a great pleasure to put together a team that supported George Bennett to his big win.

Youth Olympics Singapore
Im just back from the IOCs 1st Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. These large multi sport events are something else. 30million spent on the opening ceremony alone!!!
results were what we expected with our team, with the highlight being Kates 4th in the Time trial. My hope is that this inspires these athletes to work even harder and make a real go at being excellent in this sport. I hope that they have learned a little about professionalism and what it takes to succeed.
While this was going Clinton was racing Stagier with Radio Shack at the Tour of Denmark, he pulled out a 5th on the last road stage!! He has a few more races coming up including Paris Brussels, then on to Commonwealth Games in India. He will probably win that:-)

power training
Spent last Sunday with Hunter Allan the creator of "Cyclingpeaks" software and a bit of a guru on power training. Took away a lot of information and recapped a lot I already knew. Great day and better than any of the cycle coaching courses I have attended.
